Ramdas’s Profile

Ramdas has 33 years of experience spread across diverse domains. He has over 30 + years of experience spanning the entire gamut of Business operations spanning Procurement, Production of Electronics Systems, System Integration, Simulation panel development, Software development and Strategic HR/Competence Development. He has also been a serial entrepreneur. He has a BE degree in Industrial Engineering from Bangalore University and Master’s degree in  the same discipline from Texas A&M University. He is also a senior member of both the IEEE and the International Society of Automation (ISA). He is registered in the Independent Director’s Database for SEBI registered companies in India.

He has comprehensive experience encompassing Automation Product development, Pre-sales Engineering, Project Management and Engineering AND managing an organization such as Corporate Marketing, Strategic planning, Finance, Human Resources, Staff Training, Administration, etc.

His first venture was started in 2002 for manufacturing PLC-based Training Simulators. His second venture was started in 2018 (rasayANix) for doing Consulting and Wholesale Distribution of Environment friendly Sustainable products like Coatings, Plasters and Paints. This venture is currently on-going. He has completed an Assignment for a Solar power producer where the field mounted solar positioning Actuators were getting corroded due to water ingress. A detailed study was made and a procedure was piloted for coating the actuators with appropriate environment friendly water-proofing coatings and bonding chemicals. This was then deployed on all the field mounted actuators in 3 solar plant sites of the solar power producer. He also maintains an Environment and Sustainability Blog. He is also Consulting in Environment and Sustainability. He has completed a Certification course in Climate Change Science from the National Program for Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) conducted by the IIIT’s and the Indian Institute of Science.

He enjoys writing in the area of environment and sustainability. He has been a Visiting Faculty to a Master of Science degree program from Coventry University, UK; that was offered by the M. S. Ramaiah School of Advanced studies (currently known as the Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences) in Bangalore. He taught courses like Computer Integrated Manufacturing, Automation & Simulation, Operations Management, Electrical Drives and Control Systems, etc. He has also engaged with a Bay Area Company for the Commercial monetization of their Image, Audio and Video Annotation App.

The Certification course in Climate Change Science from the National Program for Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) was conducted by the Indian Institutes of Technology and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc). In this course, the factors that control earth’s climate, stability of the earth’s climate, the role of the sun in earth’s climate; fundamental concepts of radiation, absorption and emission, Greenhouse Gases and their effect including Run-away Greenhouse in Venus, and; Ice ages was taught. This was a semester’s duration, on-line course conducted by Prof. J. Srinivasan of IISc.
